A LOT Polish Airlines plane en route from Warsaw to Brussels was forced to carry out an emergency landing due to cabin depressurization mid-flight.

Twenty Polish MEPs were on board the aircraft while it was dropping for four minutes. In the end, it was able to safely land in the Germany city of Düsseldorf.

The Polish embassy in Germany reported that none of the passengers required medical assistance, and the airport provided accommodation for them while they awaited a replacement flight.

Law and Justice (PiS) MEP Dominik Tarczyński thanked the LOT crew for their professional behavior during the situation. “We have landed safely and are waiting for a second plane. Huge thanks to the LOT Polish Airlines crew for their absolutely professional behavior!”

Left MEP Robert Biedroń congratulated the crew on the successful emergency landing.

“We have just done an emergency landing at the airport in Dusseldorf. The LOT plane underwent cabin depressurization. The situation looked dramatic but was under control. Well done crew!”
